The Product Price Break screen
allows definition of price breaks based on quantity ordered for any product in the
system. Variable (and unlimited) levels of price breaks can be defined by product.
This feature is available only for Gold and Platinum (B2B)
versions.
When
creating a new price break, the screen will display a base structure with 5
levels. This is normally enough for most price break structures.
If you need an additional level, enter and save the first 5 levels and edit the
price break record again. The system automatically adds another level. This
process can be repeated at will, adding a new level every time.
If the price break is defined with less than 5 levels, the system will trim down
the number of level appropriately. If you add additional levels, the mechanism
described above will provide additional levels as needed.
Example:
We need to create a price break structure for a product specifying 3
levels with various discounts per level:
| Level 1: 0 to
10 |
Set the 'From
Quantity' to 0, set the 'To Quantity' to 10, set the discount rate to 0%.
No discount until 10 products are ordered. |
| Level 2: 11 to
25 |
Set the 'From
Quantity' to 11, the 'To Quantity' to 25, the discount rate to 10%.
10% discount is applied when at least 11 products are ordered. |
| Level 3: 26 and
more |
Set the 'From
Quantity' to 26, the 'To Quantity' to 999,999, the discount rate
to 20%.
20% discount is applied when at least 26 products are ordered. |
