For example, you might want the system to issue a $10.00 coupon for every $200.00 purchased. The system will e-mail a coupon to the customer upon completing a sale. The coupon is valid starting next sale and cannot be used for a sale amount less than the coupon value.
Since only one coupon can be used per order, customers 'collecting' such coupons will not be allowed to apply multiple discounts to a given order. Unlike most supermarkets, ezStore123/MerchantComplete does not redeem double coupons ;-)
This feature is fully automatic: just set it and forget it. Coupons issued are tracked and can be used only once.
Important: Coupons must be enabled in the 'Merchant' section to activate FrequentSurfer. When coupons are disabled, the shopping cart does not show the 'Coupon' field.
Platinum (B2B) version:
When a new customer type is created, the system automatically creates a corresponding FrequentSurfer program. The program is created as inactive and needs to be edited if you want it to be available for the new customer type.

Important Notes:
The coupons issued by FrequentSurfer are tracked as 'system' coupons.
In order
to protect the merchant from coupon fraud:
1. FrequentSurfer bonus coupons can be used only once and only by one customer.
2. FrequentSurfer bonus coupons are issued 'after the fact' and can be used only
for the next sale.
3. FrequentSurfer bonus coupons cannot be used in conjunction with other
coupons. They may however be used to purchase items on sale.
4. The amount of the sale redeeming a FrequentSurfer coupon has to be at least
equal to the value of the bonus coupon. Bonus coupons can never be applied to
tax and/or shipping or surcharges.
5. If an order is canceled or returned, the system debits the customer's sales
running total accordingly.
6. If an order for a total exceeding the 'Bonus Trigger Amount' (see above) is
canceled or returned, ezStore123 disables the coupon issued after the
sale. This prevents fraudulent use of the system by individuals placing a large
order, receiving a coupon then canceling the large order and using that coupon
for a purchas of a lesser amount.
7. If an order for a total exceeding the 'Bonus Trigger Amount' (see above) is
canceled or returned AND this order is not the last order placed by the
customer, ezStore123 will reset the customer account to zero and start
accumulating from this point. This prevents disproportionate coupon values to be
issued to customers.
In these extreme conditions, the maximum theoretical loss
to the customer is one bonus coupon (in reality, the actual loss is one half of
a bonus coupon on average).
